My con report:

I was at the show Friday and Saturday, digging through boxes most of the time. Picked up a few low/mid grade goodies from Leroy - great to see and work with as always.

Indeed, the CGC line was nuts the entire time. I'm glad I decided not to sub anything this year.

Other than what I bought from Leroy I wouldn't say I found any especially "good deals". Lots of decent $2 and $5 books, but not much else.

Missed the Miller and Lee panel but caught the Miller and Azzarello one. Apparently they either forgot a panel moderator or no one told Azzarello that it would be his job, so after some awkwardness it just turned into an hour long Q/A session. Miller said he has the next two Sin City series planned out, and both are set in the past. Also caught the Michael Cudlitz's panel (Abraham from Walking Dead) - pretty entertaining.

Spoke with Brian Stelfreeze and Kristen Gudsnuk in Artist Alley briefly. Both very kind and cool to chat with.

Dinners consisted of: Friends Sushi, Taco Joint, and Ramen San. Enjoyed ice cream twice at the show floor with no regrets.

C2E2 2017 was an all time record show for us. We sold a TOS #39 CGC 9.2 and would've broken our sales record without it. Crowds were massive and they came to buy! C2E2 is clearly becoming the #1 show in Chicago and is easily a top 5 show nationally. As to being afraid to grade on site, just not the case. When you grade 3500-4000 books a year you can't just throw $5-$10 a book or more away because you want instant gratification. That is a very expensive habit. I felt grading was in line with what I've seen the last 2-2 1/2 years. Best to all, Greg

Never too late it says! My haul from C2E2. Some Gold stuff and some modern junk but Meeting Bob Camp was the highlight of the convention. Funny guy!

The sketch on the left is from 2014. The one on the right was done at the show. 20170423_203238.thumb.jpg.644c6aa5ba0fa20d3ab2c704f1237b26.jpg20170423_114530.thumb.jpg.260cb705391a603cb62e38302c3ba13d.jpg20170429_141451-1.thumb.jpg.505586e6f3b7221ae57ddb42ec23c3b0.jpg20170429_141250-1-1.jpg.cb10a1461f3006b94ce701a51a6b39e2.jpg20170429_141400-1.jpg.57cac024572da8c638d906b412314975.jpg
