Except for Wonder Woman and the films already in the can, I doubt most of these projects ever make it past pre-production.

I always wondered why they even make a Flash movie now with the TV version so successful. Everybody thinks of the TV version of Flash as the Flash.

I don't see people rushing out to see this Ezra Miller Flash now that CW established a major hit with fandom about the Flash.

Miller, who plays the ultra-swift superhero The Flash, will get his DC Universe stand alone film as soon as he wraps up his work on the “Harry Potter” spin-off series “Fantastic Beasts.”

Christina Hodson, who wrote 'Bumblebee' and 'Birds of Prey,' is being eyed to write the --script. Ezra Miller, meanwhile, remains attached to play the Fastest Man Alive.

Warner Bros.’ Flash movie project has been jolted by lighting. Andy Muschietti, the filmmaker behind the hit Stephen King adaptation It and the upcoming It: Chapter Two, is in talks to direct the action-adventure project based on the DC Comics superhero. His partner and sister, Barbara Muschietti, will produce. joining Michael Disco on the project.

John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, who wrote drafts of the --script and were slated to direct the project, have moved on, however Ezra Miller, the actor who has long been attached to star as the fleet-footed hero, remains on board to star.

But in a further development, the studio won’t be moving forward with the --script Miller co-wrote with comics author Grant Morrison. Instead, Warners will hire Christina Hodson, the scribe behind Bumblebee and the studio's upcoming DC movie, the Margot Robbie-fronted Birds of Prey, to tackle the --script. The goal is to be in prep by January 2020.

Ezra Miller's chances of getting his version of The Flash movie look better than ever as his desires for the film seem to be winning out against Warner Bros. Andy Muschietti is now expected to direct the DCEU film with Christina Hodson coming aboard as screenwriter. The Flash has proven to be the DCEU project to have seen the most development hurdles, a true irony for The Fastest Man Alive that's even been noted by Ezra Miller himself. Yet, with Muschietti and Hodson joining the film, along with Miller remaining attached as the title character, things seem to be finally picking up.

Something that’s been very clear since Miller joined the DCEU is that he knows The Flash inside and out. His passion for the character and excitement for tackling the role of Barry Allen has been consistently visible in every interview he’s given since his casting. Miller clearly relishes the opportunity, and his aforementioned talk of the "Speedster Multiverse" specifically point to the pivotal role he sees the project fulfilling in the larger DCEU. What's more, Miller's never shown the slightest dip in enthusiasm despite seeing one director after another sign on and walk from the project. In fact, despite those difficulties, he's described the project in the terms of being "a gift to the fans."
