With the Nightwing announcement we will hopefully finally see the extended Bat-Family role out on the big screen as well. Batgirl should be a lock to appear sooner than later.

You recall that we've already seen Batgirl on the big screen, right?

I think I'd prefer Oracle (yeah - I know she was in Birds of Prey, but it'd be different seeing her on the big screen in a solid crime thriller).

Hah! It's good news. No need for spin, you rube.

:whatthe::whatthe::whatthe:

You mean...you'll take them on as clients again?

:whee:

Hear that? Warner Bros. church bells ringing for joy, as you were there for the good times. And just the good times.

Alicia Silverstone...? I'm with you on Oracle but I'd like to see a well portrayed Batgirl on the big screen.

Especially if they can portray her at a stage where she is new to taking on crime, and comes to respect Batman as a role model.

You get that I *want* these movies to be good, right?

But for us to go from the Nolan trilogy to the mess-sandwiches that were BvS and Suicide Squad was unconscionable.

BvS is lucky that "Hillary's America" was released last year, otherwise it would have swept the Razzies.

I'll have to remember that next time you you note an 'ummm' or some other passive-aggressive post to any good intent towards these movies.

Yes, I know that Silverstone already played her. My comment was not that it would be her first appearance on the screen, just "Batgirl should be a lock to appear sooner than later".

Definitely Lauren is my first choice. She has a serious presence in her work, that makes you forget about the "girl" in Batgirl.

Nathalia is really an underrated actress. Her work in Wildflower separates her from the Olivia Holts and Bella Thornes of the world.

Despite her size, Audrey has this spunk and pluck, that could translate well to Affleck's Batman.

But for now, Lauren McCrostie can have the role.

Or, Emma Roberts. She was in 'Meet the Millers'.

All good choices... but the best choice so far was Jena Malone not being Batgirl

It appears as if WB is causing Ben to drink again. This may add another wrinkle to why he did not want to direct the movie.

I am starting to wonder if WB will go with a new Batman after JL in time for the Matt Reeves Batman?

I would say although I am a big Ben Affleck fan is I now don`'t think he is a lock to play Batman after Justice League.

Also this problem with Ben Affleck might slow down production of making the next Batman movie and might be why Man of Steel 2 has been all of a sudden gathered more interest?

I was wondering that myself after reading yesterday's articles. But depending on which article you read, it was either 'good on Ben Affleck for calling out his addiction and doing something about it' or 'What a mess Affleck's life must be'. And yet he and Jennifer Garner announced last week the divorce is off, and she is working with him to help rebuild his personal life.

But now that Warner Bros. has Matt Reeves lined up with all this power to drive this forward, will they wait for him to clear his head (if he is even saying he is not ready to jump in)? One of the articles I read said he is ready to roll, and feels like his life events will not get in the way now that some of the pressures have been addressed.

If anything it would have been the box office numbers for Live By Night. lol

From other stuff I have read, alcohol and gambling have been issues for him for a while now. Likely the reason that Garner finally filed for divorce. In any case, looks like he may be starting to try to straigthen things out so good luck for him.
