Hot Toys are the top figure these days. I had a few Mego and other figures when I was young. I saw them in that 80s toys topic. They were tops then. And I remember some of them well. But compared to what Hot Toys can produce, I'll buy those.

Sure, but a basic Hot Toys figure is about $250 these days (Oh, I remember when they were $80 a piece...those were the days).  These Megos are TWENTY BUCKS. At that price, I'll take both!

Love these guides from Mark Bellomo.  Had the GI JOE one first then the Star Wars but finally went and grabbed the Transformers one.  Fun just too look thru them.  :)

I've been watching amazon and such for the 3rd edition Joe one but so far seems just in hardcover.

Wish there was one for MOTU

I remember years ago it was mentioned he was working on that guide and was looking for a figure to complete it.  Could have been a rumour though.  I think the next book I want to get by him is Totally Tubular '80s Toys but it is hardcover and not cheap.  Hopefully he does an other edition that is soft covered as well.  I like how the three I have are all same size and conform lol.

Looks like your Scorponok still has the Headmaster (Lord Zarak)! That little Headmaster alone is a $75-$100 piece. I should know, I spent a while trying to complete a Scorponok of my own, and never found one.

Looks like you're missing several of the guns and armor pieces (or at least I don't see them in the picture), but yeah, the Headmaster is the real key piece. If you're looking to sell, either clean it all up and sell it with the head, or if you don't want to bother with the body, again, the head alone is worth quite a bit of money. Good luck!

Got the two packs a couple weeks ago and the others over the past week. (two Gorns)Image may contain: 2 people42734736_10214346893838484_4265762076732948480_n.jpg?_nc_cat=102&oh=f55cadd4d78decc3e7c7c845a663f87e&oe=5C4E9F97Image may contain: 3 people, people standing

I've seen the 2-packs locally, but haven't seen any of the Wave 2 single carded figures around here yet. Frank is the only one I really care about. I had him in my cart on the Target site, but then he sold out. Hopefully he'll pop back up again.

i have seen seen some of the wave 2 14" figures locally, but I ordered my set through the website.

Right now Target is having a toy sale, something like $10 off of $50, or $25 off of $100 (you may want to double check that). Add red card and free shipping for an even better deal.

I think the sculpts are already improving on the wave 2 figures. Wave 3 & 4 should be killer.

Thanks for the info - you are correct that the guns and armor pieces are missing on the Scorponok :( But good to know/have a value estimate and crazy that the Headmaster is the real value - thanks again to everyone for the insight.  I will get the figures cleaned up and try to sell it all (just to put money into the comic buying fund of course :) ).

For some reason some Targets quit selling them to even pulling them from off of the shelves.

Yeah, it's odd, there was supposed to be a "reset" on October 1st, with Wave 2 hitting. Instead, Wave 2 has trickled out to some stores, not made other stores at all, and like you said, the Mego's have been removed entirely from several locations. Anecdotally, sales on Wave 1 were slow...I mean, heck, they were mostly warming pegs in every store I went to. I hope Target doesn't pull the plug on the project altogether.
