At our place, the general rule is that the wife gets the upstairs, I get the downstairs, and there is a tiny bit of crossover, but not much. The basement is finished (drywalled/carpeted, etc) except for the laundry room section. I've entertained thoughts of going ahead and finishing that off as well, to gain a little more display space, but that may be more headache than I want to take on at this point. Maybe one day.

Yeah, he was talking about someone he knew that cut custom arcylic sheets that would have a beveled edge so you could connect the panels into basically any side box you'd want. Still sound pricey to me, but he is going nuts. He has a more or less complete collection of figures and vehicles, including the international figures and hard to find stuff, at least up until the neon era, Eco Warriors/DEF, etc. He's been working on his "museum" for some time now and is about ready to reveal it. He's having built-in shelves made, and he also bought some lighted display shelves from Toys R Us when they went out of business that he's going to integrate into the display. Should be pretty snazzy. Me, I'm going to have to be satisfied with a couple of detolfs and some shelves here and there.

That cantina is nuts!

That's awesome your wife supports your collecting. Mine does too. She actually was the one to suggest putting my graded books on display instead of just sitting in a box. Cheers to our wives :tink:

That does sound expensive with all the custom acrylic work. I cant wait to see it. Let us know for sure once pics become available. Man I envy the people that have COMPLETE Joe collections. It boggles my mind but if people have the space and were able to start even just 5 years ago it's doable. At least for a vintage collection. It's nice when people give the collections the credit the pieces deserve with a nice display set up :)

^ might pick that one up too! Looks really cool fully displayed.

Recently just got pulled in to buying Transformers Masterpiece. I did love the original G1's but man what a huge difference the MP TF's are and cheaper too if MISB/MIB.

The new Optimus Prime MP-44 version 3 coming out soon looks sick!

The first MP I saw and got was Soundwave. It blew my mind. It was like everything we wanted in the toys from the 80s with updated technology. The MP44 looks really cool. I wonder what they will do next? It seems like all the new stuff is getting LED light up eyes. If only they would make a Blaster that actually played tapes...

I'm about to get the MP version of Megatron with the 3 different face plates and sounds coming off his huge blaster.  Unfortunately the voice language is in Japanese, hopefully they can make an English version of the same voice actor from the cartoons to replace it with.  I also saw the anime version of Smokescreen, Wheeljack, and Hound all look fantastic!  Blaster would be cool and hopefully they can do the other 4 Dinobots!  Looking into the Fans Toys Dinobots right now, look amazing!!!

Latest addition to my 80s MOc/MIB collection.

Been watching for one of these guys still in the box.  For some reason all the decent ones were in the UK or Australia. Loved the weapons and the ability to mix em up. I had the sea one, my brother had the land one...

CENTURIONS!

Max Ray....man I love that 80s porn 'stache.

Box is is good shape. Window is a little detached in one spot. And the original tape was taped over at some point (and then reopened) Inner figure and pieces are all still attached.

I never had Centurions as a kid but always wanted one.  Don't see them to often but eventually hope to pick up one.  One I would like to get is Jake Rockwell and the Hornet.

I have a few Centurions in my collection.  One of the better made toys during that era IMO.  Still love em.  I also have a sealed Max Ray, and have a MIB of Jake, Ace, Wild Weasel, Hornet, Detonator, and Orbital Interceptor.  Still need a few more to complete the whole collection.

Thanks man! Anytime. I think your Terror Drome needs to have a dio/display built around it LOL. I've some cool set ups people have done by taking out closet doors to use that area. I personally wish I had the space for a Terror Drome, but as it is the Flagg takes up a lot of room. I usually try to follow Buzz's guideline of getting rid of something when more stuff comes in. Still I find myself boxing up some misc detolf items to be displayed later i guess. At least $ wise I'll sell a couple of books from time to time.

Been prepping for a move and the Joes are the WORST to pack.

Finally found a monster box for the Defiant.  It is both the greatest and worst toy ever created.  I cringe when I touch it.

But the Terrordrome has been the hardest one to box (still not done), which was a surprise for me.  It's equally huge/round throughout (approx 27").

Realized I have a problem with loving all of the huge toys. Literally a grown child.  Flagg, Terrordrome, Defiant, multiple Fortress Maximus', multiple Scorponok, Iwo Jima Marx, T-Rex Dino Riders, Panosh Voltron, Jurassic T-Rexs, and so on.  Just stupid.

The Defiant is a beast, but yeah, it's scary to own. Those wheels/treads break so easily, a friend of mine had his on display, never moved it, until the one day he decided to pack it up to move, he realized that the treads had cracked under the simple pressure of the toy itself. Plus there's so many small pieces. But man, it's cool. I had a mostly complete Defiant many years ago, wish I'd held onto it. There was a pretty nice one at the Joe show last week for $700. I gave it some thought, but I'm scared the thing will self destruct so easily, I don't want to put a lot of money into it.

Well, "supports" may be generous ha We'll say she "mostly tolerates" it, and leave it at that!

Lordy... did you guys see this?  I like the design second to Stormy's Gray Wolf Custom and both of those designs better than the army green... wow...

One day I'm going to learn how to do this type of stuff.

That MP36 Megatron is pretty awesome. I didnt realize the voice was only Japanese. I agree the fans toys transformers are pretty good. I like the reflector they made. Personally I havent bought any third party figures other than a kit for Devastator. It's too bad Hasbro/Takara wont finish the line of transformers instead of making new releases with anime colors. I was thinking of getting Wheeljack though

That is one of my favorites. I also really like this Tiger Force version someone made. There's a bunch of Joe customs on this page. Joe Customs One of these days I need to load stuff on their site.

I've been 50/50 on which one to get.. Whether the regular Takara Prowl, Wheeljack, Sideswipe regular versions or the Anime/cartoon versions.  In car mode, I prefer the regular version, but in robot mode I think the Anime versions stick out with the light blue tint.  Ahh dunno what to do.  I would also think the Anime versions have better/improved articulation as well.

The new anime versions come with more accessories too

I currently have MP Wheeljack, Gold Bumblebee, Tracks, Red Alert, Acid Rain and the second Hot Rod...

I wound up selling Prowl, Grimlock, and 1st Rodimus and I have a yellow Bumblebee for sale.

Wheeljack, Acid Rain and Red Alert were the only ones I opened. The "Lambor" mold is one of the earliest but most reliable and still impressive in comparison to where the technology is.  MP Wheeljack is the only instance where the character was actually made 'right'.

Does anyone have any of those Transformers Masterpiece KO's by any chance?  Thinking if I should give them a try since they look practically the same and I guess are made the same way as the originals.  It's basically half the cost of the real ones and I'd be saving a ton if I were to build up a collection.
