Got that Ace Frehley figure for $24.95 at Mile High Comics, which is forty bucks cheaper than what it's actually going for, so I was kinda happy.

I picked up a Flagg yesterday. Price was good and it was local so I didn't want to pass it up. Left it on the plywood while it was transported. Disassembled it last night and did the layout drawings to add the lower deck.

Sweeeeeet. Should have never sold mine, but I sold it to a friend who completed it and cleaned it up, so I still get to visit it on occasion! It's crazy what small parts on this thing can run. Congrats, that's an all time great piece and the centerpiece of any Joe collection!

I remember someone brought these up some time ago.

Went to an Antique show and bought a few.

FLASH.....Ahhhhhh...Defender of the....Earth??

They look kind of goofy, but they are actually pretty well designed.

Got a carded Ming, loose Lothar, carded Flash, and a boxed beast.

Again, nothing expensive.  But my 1st personal opportunity to buy them.

I think I was part of that conversation! I always liked this line, though I don't own them anymore. Such a funky little collection of characters, the Phantom, Flash Gordon, Mandrake the Magician, etc. Colorful cards too! Very cool!

I debated posting these here or in the Garage Sale/Flea Market thread. Since I actually obtained these from an attic find at an in-law's house I opted to post here.  I'm not a rabid fan of the 2nd trilogy (I was entertained at each viewing of the movies); but these seem pretty cool to me.

Thanks my friend! I snapped the picture after I had taken off some pieces before the move but it's mostly there. Structurally I only had to do some minor repair to a few little spots. Glad to hear your friend is appreciating the one you had and you still get to visit it  :-)

These last couple of weeks has been nuts for me on this project of adding the custom lower deck. Pretty much working on it every chance I get when I'm not at work. I finishing cutting and painting the wood yesterday. I'm really happy with the way it turned out. I have some more detailing to do but will be putting it together soon.

Man, can't wait to see it once it's all done, it sounds killer!

I'm heading to a local Joe convention this weekend and have my want list ready. Mostly just need pieces and parts of stuff, maybe some loose vehicles, we'll see what I can dig up, but I am getting stoked!

This Spawn figure with the comic was a nice surprise, too

I think this figure is actually underrated, as this really marked a huge tide change with action figures, moving into the larger scale and introducing detailed sculpts to the mainstream. Without McFarlane's Spawn line, we wouldn't have NECA, Mezco, DC Direct, Marvel Legends, etc. I need to grab one or two of these. I've owned a bunch over the years, and have always sold them. Need to add one to the permanent collection just out of respect!

Love it, especially the eye-popping color on the card. Hulk is such a toyetic character.

I finally found a basic Optimus figure I can get behind.

I am glad I passed on Power of the Primes Optimus.  I patiently await the Siege of Cybertron 2019 version:

Side note... That upcoming Ultra Magnus...whoa

Thanks man! I was thinking of doing a journal now that I've made some progress.

Right on! Have fun at the Joe convention. I hope you find the pieces you need :wishluck:
