One is more interesting than the other. Pretty tough to be a "human connection" when you can't (or don't) convey human emotion... Wanda Maximoff also had three full movies to tell her storyline that not only took place in the present but was also smack dab in the middle of the main Russo Brothers storyline. And yes, her romance with Vision is a cornerstone of Marvel Comics lore. And that’s why she’s getting a D+ series. Carol Danvers has had one movie as a main character where the MAIN POINT of the story was the repression of her memory, identity, and emotions, just like in the comics. And even though Carol is like the only MCU hero I can remember besides Wanda who actually cries and sheds tears in a movie, that’s still not enough for you guys who accuse CM of lacking heart or emotion, because the movie has it in spades. Also, her movie wasn’t part of the present day storyline. In Endgame, she served mostly as a limited appearance super-powered ace in the sleeve for Nick Fury. Carol Danvers has like 5 or 6 more movies including two more for her trilogy and another decade to tell her story. You can’t have everything at once. That’s why the MCU will be around for a long time no matter what Martin Scorsese says. Carol Danvers became aware of the stakes when she tries to destroy the power core in Captain Marvel. She was essentially sacrificing herself to finish Mar-Vell’s actions before she was killed by the Kree. As Maria Rambeau says, Carol was a fighter before she got her powers. That’s all on her. The power core simply added to what was already there. In that way, Carol is a bit more like Steve Rogers than Stark.
