Wizard World Philadelphia Fan Appreciation -- November 12-13, 2016

It would be nice if they told you how to actually get in for free if you attended WW Philly. It just says:

• 2-Day, 1-Day Saturday & 1-Day Sunday Admissions are FREE to anyone who purchased a Wizard World Comic Con Philadelphia Admission (4-Day, 1-Day or VIP). This does not include any Discount Admissions such as GroupOn or Living Social.

Anyone know what guests are coming???

Missed out on Haley Atwell and Dominic Cooper sigs at Philly this past weekend, would be sweet if they were going to the "Fan Appreciation Wizard" Philly, too.

Kinda doubt that, though.

There is a list of guests referenced as a

"PRE-SALE PAGE" on the page below but there is no link given to a guest list....sooo, anyone know where the guest list for this "PRE-SALE PAGE" is located?

Well played, sir.

I'm going to call Wizard tomorrow and see if any talent (other than Jeff Schultz...x2) will be there.

Gotta say that the promotion so far for this show sucks balls.

Wizard did do a good job having Evans, Atwell,Cooper, Fabry this past weekend, but they are really yrying to run the well dry with this second show.

I could be wrong, though...depending on how much effort they put into this offshoot. So far, I only see this as a cash grab.

I saved my dealer floor pass wristband from this past weekend's Philly so assuming that will get me in again, I'll go to buy during dealer set up(if not, I'll get another pass off one of the dealers I know/have a working relationship with.

Might even get a booth, depending on how the show shapes up.

I didn't get the chance to talk to any of the dealers I know this past weekend but I'd have to imagine they all did pretty well....considering Philly probably had less than 25 comic dealers.

Cancelling a fan appreciation event is pretty low unless they have something bigger planned.

Wizard has been cutting events right and left because they lost tons of money in their massive expansion a few years ago. I think we could have told them that Des Moines, Madison and Albuquerque were not going to be huge draws. They seem to be cutting back to their core events that make them money, and it showed in their latest financials (they're actually making a profit again after last year's fiasco).

Was the fan appreciation day to make up for a bad show or something? Why did Philly get one?

My guess is that as their second biggest show (after Chicago) they thought they may be able to double dip the market for dealer commitments and ticket sales. My next guess is that their sales fell far short of their projections, so they abandoned the show.
