Batman 1 4.5 129k and to think my copy was unrestored vg/fine before i had it restored in the 80s :frustrated:

That seems on the ridiculous side.

A 4.5 went for $75k in a C-link auction just two years ago, and I thought that was silly then.

-J.

its been selling 27.5-30K a point for a year now...right in line...I turned down 100K on my 3.5 just last month

a friend turned down 150 on his 5.5 last month too...not silly, its the current market apparently

Yeah, B-man rules.

Realized prices on this small, select group of Grails are rapidly approaching "life-changing" levels (seen from a consignor perspective).

I mean "close-down-shop-and-go-live-on-a small-ecsotic-Island" -level ;)

Archie 1 with an hour left on bidding now says

This item has been removed by the seller. What the is that.

hm(shrug) Seems "odd"

Set a reserve next time

I was actually asking them to lower the reserve. When they went in to do so, their system instead reset all the bidding to 0. So no, I did not have them pull the book. Don't jump to conclusions.

(The book was supposed to end Monday and I was thrilled with where it was.)

The cap #3 also was stopped from finishing:

This isn't correct. The book didn't hit reserve so was relisted automatically.

Just wondering: how does a potential bidder distinguish between ComicConnect's reserve and no-reserve listings? (shrug)

Looks like the reserve (if any) is noted under the 'Your Max Bid' box.

It is kind of annoying that they wipe out the info on where the bidding was on books that didn't meet reserve or that got pulled.

I'm wondering if it's even legal to start a no reserve auction and then pull the book. It may be some form of fraud; it may be that the high bidder at the time the auction was pulled is legally entitled to the book.
