I am enjoying the discussion but possibly he is referring to the fact there is a fantastic thread on this exact issue and would probably benefit having this information in there.

 

How about those test print wizard 1/2s? Anyone find any in the wild?

What is a test print wizard 1/2? I have seen wizard 1/2s but I don't believe I know of the "test prints".

Good question. I have a dozen of these wizard 1/2 I got in part of the 1700 books I picked up. These were still in the Brown mailers sent to the owner, never opened. I just took them out they are still in the plastic milar thing they were mailed in inside the stiff envelope. Haven't seen light in 20 years or more... I know nothing about these 1/2 wizards

Everything else, like the BLUE or as he says GOLD ones are not HOLOGRAMS they are single color pictures basically with no "movement"

I have 135 wizard 1/2s and I know of at least 26 I dont have, there are probably a lot more.

There are no real detailed lists that I have found over the years, just what I compiled myself based on what I have found ?

I have no 1/2 slabs so didnt know that any of these were classed as test printings ?

Never actively chased these for years if I am honest and I guess this thread is not really the place for these, so apologies

Sure it is! Your lucky to find these in back bin boxes for 8-10 bucks. It happens but rarely so hard to find in the wild, somewhat

The blue and red Maxx 1/2 are test prints apparently. Only 10 of each. The census shows 2 graded reds and 6 graded blues

I finally found this newsstand in the wild. Spawn 9 for a quarter The only issue is there is a big stain along the left side of the comic. I've been searching for this for the last few years and this is the first time I found it. What should I do? Keep it, sell it, or just junk it

I have a low grade "direct" that I also bought for like $1, I kept it as a reader.... just imo
