In the Shadow of the Atomic Age

Here's an early Atom Age entry: Published late in 1945. Great American Comics Presents #1, proposes to tell of a 'secret ally(voice)that helped us beat the Axis and what 'really' happened to Hitler. The voice belongs to genius insect named 'Victory Bug'. The book is kinda violent and presented in 'washed out' color tones inside. The cover is my copy, the interiors are taken from the DCM (to 'present' better in this thread,)

Cool book. I remember about 25 years ago, there was a small warehouse find of these.

Fawcett comes through again with this romance story of existential despair. A woman sees a test blast and thinks, "What's the point of love?"

Just saw this.  Wild story.  I have a feeling it may not have been the type of story buyers of that comic were expecting.

yeh it's an interesting one.  Fawcett's could surprise.  I guessed Sekowsky as the artist, and am pleased to see I'm getting the eye on this stuff.

After exchanging Tarzan scans in the Gold Connections thread, I realize I am under-scanned in that run. Pulled some books out this morning and thought I'd share -
