Spyder!
Is this issue starting to pick up the "movie villain" price spike? Happened to look at GPA and it shows a CGC 4.0 just sold June 29th for $1754.00 This price seems extremely high. One sold on EBay recently for 925, and there are copies available right now for way less than 1750. One on eBay currently asking 1200, and a 4.5 on CL for 1300. ivrimark
Not a stretch to say this is Steve Ditko's first Spider-Man cover. Jack Kirby pencilled AF 15 and ASM 1 with Ditko inking. CGC used to credit "Kirby/Ditko" on the old ASM 1 labels, but now it's just "Ditko cover."

Bomber-Bob
Incredible copy. Look at those cover colors. Old label goodness. A perfect example showing how tough they graded early on. Love this copy !

Spyder!
Ghost Town's collection is so good it makes me nauseous Ghost Town should resub all his old label books and see how many come back 9.6 or better, including this one.
Dutch74
These books make me Apart from AF15, ASM 2 is the main book missing from my collection! I am continuing to look for a 9.0, a nice 8.5 or a cheap 9.

I respectfully disagree. I think they look awesome in the old label. However, if he wants to sell the books, then maybe it's a good idea. Otherwise, why bother spending all that money if they are keepers ? Obviously, these books would be walkthrus and not cheap.
Kevin76
It would cost a fortune to resubmit them, what if they come back a grade lower? No one seems to think of that. Do wonder how the microchamber paper is holding up in the old holders though.
Dick Pontoon
My copy is not as nice as Ghost Town's (in fact almost none of my collection is as nice as his books) but mine does have a little something extra:

silverweb
I have never seen his sig before. That is totally rare!!! If I owned it, I would consider getting it authenticated but not if it requires slabbing. Cuz you would not be able to see the sig in person anymore!
