Magneto's been one of my favourite characters for years. Apart from the great cover, the story that ran through this issue and # 275 is one of my favourite all time Magneto stories.

In all my time reading comics as a kid, I think the high point was the X-Men 112 arc. God I loved that stuff, and I had a whole ritual around going to Newbury Comics and buying multiple copies when they came out, as well as a coke and snacks to settle in to get my read on (this was a big deal as we never had junk food in the house). That was the pinnacle of my enjoyment as a comics reader.
