Maybe not what you hoped for, and that’s a bummer, but a 5.0 on a tough single digit Planet is not bad!

I bought the Planet Comics 9 around 5 years ago. Just once I would like a book I purchase to actually surprise me and come back higher grade than what it was sold to me as. It has never happened. This is an old lesson that I continue to learn from my previous raw purchases: don't buy raw books over the internet. CGC Graded only.

Great books Karl!  I know CGC can sometimes be not so kind, but I think all your copies look great.  That 8 is killer and one of my favorite issues that I too think runs under the radar compared to some other rivets.  Here is mine:

Don't buy many Planets cause I don't like the prices on them, but had to get a copy of this one to pair up with one of my favorite books.  Even though he was a thief I do like the Walter Johnson enhanced version better … one has to wonder if Doolin took some pointers from Johnson on proportions if planet 52 might have ended up a classic...

The girl on Doolin's cover is much nicer, but the layout on the Cow Puncher is better...
