Here is my #14.

I had a very hard time finding a copy of 14 when I was actively trying to. Literally zero copies came up for sale over several years and I was searching numerous sites morning, lunch, early evening and before I went to bed every single day.

Finally found this copy for sale on Ebay and I bought it.

It presents nice for the grade with very nice colors unfortunately it has some worm chew on the interior and the back cover isn't as nice as the front. Still I had finally acquired a copy and thought of it as a placeholder and that I could upgrade it if I was patient. 

The thing is, it isn't the easiest task to upgrade a hard to find book. If you do see a copy do you pull the trigger? Often I find the cost of the upgrade versus level of upgrade difficult to validate. For now I remain happy to have this copy.

I used to own that copy and as I recall it has some nice qualities!

That front cover presents beautifully.  Very nice book.

Your 13 is one of the nicest books in the entire thread.  Just spectacular!

One of the copies I considered buying, Jason even was kind enough to send me a private message letting me know that he would be selling.

I wish I had the funds available at the time but it was not to be. Very happy it is in the possession of a fellow Planet boardie!

I had already added 13 and 15 to the collection before I found a copy of 14.  In the end, it was the same boardie that sold me my 13 and my 7 who sold me my 14.  The boards are the best.

Arguably my favorite cover of the run.

Issue 15

It was the 3rd last book I purchased for my run. While I was hunting for a 15, it seemed every copy I was able to find was somewhere around a 1.5-3.0 with brittle pages. I remained patient and eventually a CGC Qualified 1.5 with off-white pages was offered by our own Bedrock on Ebay and I went for it. I apparently outbid Gator for the copy.

After I had the book for a short while the detached married cover began to slink its way down inside the slab to the point it was starting to interact with the bottom spacer and I was worried it would get damaged further.

Also at this time Roy Thomas of PS Artbooks publicly asked for scans of a Planet 15 in high resolution. I gave it some thought then decided to help him out and I cracked the book. I scanned the entire book both front and back covers including the inside of the covers in very high resolution and sent the images to him.

I think it is very cool it is my Planet Comics 15 in the PS Artbooks publication!

During scanning I got the opportunity to really look the book over, I also discovered the 2 interior center wraps were also detached from the book. Basically what I had was a complete book, in pieces with a married/ detached / spine split cover. 

The colors of the cover were very nice, and the central mass of the cover was in great shape and I felt a restoration would assemble the book and improve the grade, especially since the cover was already married. After much deliberation and asking many questions I decided to send the book in for a professional opinion. I sent it to CCS, who after giving it a look over recommended conservation so I did it.

The end result is very appealing to the eye, and I couldn't be happier. I love the book, it looks great and the color strike is fantastic.

Scrolling down this page, you wouldn't think 14 is such a rare book...  8 listed so far, out of 26 on the census.  Not bad.

Wish mine had better PQ, but what are you gonna do.  Just happy to have it!

And Sharon, you are welcome to post any to catch up a bit, we love seeing what everyone has!
