I thought I'd share a couple of things with you guys.  First, I just got my copy of the 50th Overstreet.  I haven't bought one for 5 or 6 years but thought it might be useful as a baseline for most magazines.  Boy was I wrong!  I honestly feel that the guide is no longer relevant except for maybe some publication information but even that is just meh.  Prices are completely disconnected from actual selling prices on eBay, at conventions, auction houses, etc.  2c

Second, I've been collecting these men's adventure magazines for a while.  For the last few weeks, I've been watching the same seller sell a bunch on eBay and they have officially blown up.  A year ago, most of these were findable for $100 or less.  Now... well take a look.  This is just a small sampling of a huge number that all sold for similar prices.  Makes Warrens, Skywalds and all other comic mags look cheap by comparison.  And for the record, none of these are the really big keys for this genre.  These are just typical issues in the runs of these titles.

Strong price!

EBAY: VAMPIRELLA #1 Warren CGC 9.2 NM- (1969) Origin & 1st app. VAMPIRELLA

$3,506.56+ $33.00 Shipping

I'm just memorializing this incredible development with a screenshot from the US ebay platform.  Just stunning!  The most important thing to me is that there were 3 bidders over $3k for this book.  Thanks for sharing this!  (thumbsu

I felt this was a generous grade after looking at the front cover scan, but really was shocked when I saw the back cover.

Woah!  I guess surface wear doesn't affect grade for the CGC boys and girls.

That being said, it does say it's a 9.0 so it's worth at least $2500.  Am I right??  :insane:

I knew I should have bought a Vamp number one when they was CHEAP😡

It's all relative. I bought mine for $400 each back in 2000. Seemed expensive then. $3000 may not seem so bad 20 years from now :wishluck:

Wonder what i can get for mine? 9.2 signed by Neal Adams

A lot but also a lot less than the Frazetta sigs. Of all the signed copies I’ve seen the only one I really wanted was a raw signed by Billy Graham. Hard to get stuff signed by the late artist and I loved his work growing up. I have a number of Adams sigs and some Frazetta too (the Famous Funnies books) but still no Billy Graham. Sad he left so soon.
