I personally consider Vampi #1 to be the Action 1 of horror mags.

I'd agree with that.

Eerie ashcan is just too one-off for me to consider.

Same with Vampirella HC. Great books both but too much of a special case.

That Eerie #39 price is absolutely Nuts!!!!  $240 NM.  Wow.  I think it really goes to show the pent up energy when true High Grade copies come to the market and those that have been turning over every rock to find them want them.  Wild.

However the winning bid for the Vampie 3 seems waaay low. $153.49 for a 9.0? Someone got lucky!

Yeah that is true.  Most of the Raws I see sell on eBay are usually between $150-$300 in 9.0 to "9.4".

Though Graded copies jump quite a bit, with 8.5-9.0 copies in the $325-$400 arena.

I like them both of mine. Kind of like choosing your favourite child.

I posted the Vampi #1 in reference to it being the Action #1 for magazines and if that's true then Eerie #1 is maybe the Suspense comics #3 of magazines. The Vampi HC is difficult but seems to show up way more than Eerie #1 ash cans. The Vampi HC is difficult in grade for sure.

Do you know what print your Eerie #1 is? Blue staples?

These foreign Horror magazines have been really getting firm bids over the last year or so.  I can't believe some of the prices I've started to see here.

A lot of these were licensed by Myron Fass (Eerie Publications) for production in Australia.  Tough tough to get in decent grade.

Oh my God, more horror to collect?

And dude, these books are even more hair-raising :pullhair: to collect then Eerie Publication books.  This is starting to get into the secret room, in the basement, of the secret shop in the side alley :insane:
