I picked this one up on the Comic Connect website a month or two ago. The scan is from the website. I'm not sure whether CConnect deliberately lightened the scan, but the book is not as white as it appears in the scan; it's more beige in hand.

Cool book. Not saying that they didn't lighten it but maybe because it's against a black background is the reason it looks whiter here.

Been a real crappy week but thanks to a great boardie, one of my favorite horror covers is now in the junk pile! Awsome colors. I just love green covers. Got one more issue left to finish off this cool run and it's in the mail now. Stay tuned for a nice group shot soon...

The background can affect the way the eye perceives color, but the book is much darker in hand.

I just realized something again. As much as I loved getting that bright, purty This Magazine is Haunted #6, it is after all, slabbed. I don't have a lot of graded books because I can't look inside, smell them, turn the pages and "experience" them. They seem so one dimensional. Look at one side, flip it over and look at the other side and that's it... Just not real enjoyable for me. Luckily, I have a beater already I can read.

The cover inks form a crystalline structure resulting in diffraction as light bounces off the different faces of the crystal.  It's practically criminal to keep this in a slab.

Love that one too! Plus it's a seldom done close up head shot (for Atlas PCH at least). Here's some other close up Atlas covers I like!

I finally grabbed a Spellbound 17 keeper, your copy is a beauty.
