ACG's fare, Adventures Into The Unknow, Forbidden Worlds, Out Of The Night, & Skeleton Hand, other than the one issue of The Clutching Hand, seemed to go by a formula of three happy endings, and one good one, usually.

I personally hold that as my minimum standard, unless the cover by itself makes owning it worthwhile.

I agree. I did pick up the some of the number ones from the ACG titles, but parted with them awhile back. Just cannot compare to their competitors at the time.

Awsome book. Been looking for it seems like forever. But even more than the book it’s self, I’ve been looking for the pinback button. I have never seen one or know anybody else who has including Ted Hake. Contest premiums are always the hardest to find. This is a bit of an obscure book and probably very few kids entered the contest much the less kept it when they got it. One of those comic book premiums I will probably never get...

Yours is a beauty. Sorry you had to pay so much.

For some reason it caught my eye in the last Heritage auction catalog. I am so glad to have won it.

Nobody wanted these back then. They were in dollar boxes, un-bagged under tables. ECs were the king of the heap then. The horror ones were $4-$5 each. Getting down on my hands and knees resulted in getting a lot of cheap alternatives. Other than the tiny crease in the upper right corner, it looks un-read. I remember getting probably half the run out of the same box. Sometimes, age has it’s advantages...:preach:
