I was prepared to go to 5800.00 but never got the chance. Are these books really worth 8400.00. Seems like way over guide for low grade books.

I felt it was way overbid, myself. Nice lot, but even if I was able to afford it I would not have gone that high.

I agree with Keith on that auction.... way, way overbid.

 

There were tons of poor condition common books in that auction. Basically, those are junk... you'll have a hard time moving those later. No keys or rare books from what I can tell, either.
