My first Hero.

I remember flipping out when he turned up in character in one the Kenny Rogers Gamblers movies.

His biggest achievement was his Foundation- HOBY, which taught leadership to some 30,000 youngsters.

Wyatt Earp was before my time, but I checked IMDB and realized I must have seen him dozens of times on film and TV. He was in The Shootist with John Wayne and Twins with Schwarzenegger - impressive company!

 

A long and illustrious career, and I know he will be missed by many. RIP Mr. O'Brian.

My dad was a big western tv fan back in the late 1950's early 1960's so we were forced to watch a lot of them. I have to admit, I actually enjoyed Wyatt Earp as a kid.91 is a good ride. Rest well Mr. O'brian!

I was born a generation too late to catch the majority of the TV westerns the first time around, but I've watched most of them on reruns, and The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp is one of my favorites. Rest In Peace, sir.

I've seen him in a few things over the years but know him well from The Shootist, where he was excellent in a small but important supporting role.
