Hello, I recently purchased a ton of Japanese Adult Anime Comics and Books at a local garage sale for $15, however I have zero knowledge when it comes to this stuff. I figured it was a great deal, and thought maybe I could resell it. Most of them appear to be from the late 90's. Is there anyone in here that may be able to help me out, as I am having no luck doing research on my own? I appreciate any assistance any of you may be able to provide me! I appreciate your time and assistance!!

If it is pornography then it is called Hentai and you should be able to find listings on ebay. If you sell them make sure you sell under the Adult section. They do sell. Some are quite graphic and gross. When I read manga, I picked up a lot that had a few series of this type of garbage in it. I listed them on ebay and there was unfortunately an audience for them.

I find it funny that you highlighted the last sentence over when I called it garbage and gross. My last sentence was actually just telling the OP that there is a market for them. Hence, why I could not just throw them away. I am not sure why that sounds odd or why I am called out for it. I am just trying to help the OP.

 

I can get into why I think Japanese Hentai is sicken to me vs American Porn but why should I? This thread is for a sale of Adult material. You are raising areas that are truly no concern of yours. I am not trying to be argumentative but the truth is this is a thread about selling material. Just let it go.

My local video game shop has a wall of anime books. I don't know how much turnover there is, but he put the same price on everything.

 

My understanding is that the Japanese don't collect comics and mags because of a lack of space to store them, they treat it like disposable entertainment. If they're written in Japanese, there may not be a huge buying pool.

Ok then I must have misread your statement. I'm no big fan of manga/hentai either but I understand there is a market for them.

So, how would you suggest I list them? I literally have 100's of them. I also have a lot of graphic female vampire comics. I just have no idea what I have!!

 

 

Depends on how much work you want to put into it.

 

 

More work:

You can do some research on eBay and see if there are any more expensive/more collected titles that match with what you have and then copy their listing (in case they have the titles translated).

 

Less work:

Create some lots based on titles, subject matter (*shudder*), or sub-genre. Figure out how many fit in your typical shipping box, and sell them off in lots. Make sure it's listed in the right eBay category and just title it generic including the word "lot" and then make sure you say in the description that you get X number of books as shown in the picture, and take a picture of the pile.

 

done and done.
