Cheers for the scans Revat. Ren & Stimpy actually have an 'investigations' folder all to themselves. Quite an odd situation as it stands with just two confirmed APVs and a whole load of local reprints by Trielle Komix clashing. I wonder sometimes if the two APVs (12 &13) were produced in error. Time will tell.

Afternoon :)

We're up to 1,133 confirmed APVs now

I managed to finish the title Infinity Crusade today courtesy of two images from a regular ebay seller:

ic.PNG.4471ad67d9e481e3d48fe470c7d398f5.PNG

Here they all are:

1d.thumb.jpg.74ffa47fb92bc194858fa5cc5e27b342.jpg 2.thumb.jpg.b90363a4dbb9599188755138e427cf12.jpg 3.thumb.jpg.e7bf0044a7438e2650cfc53a3e5470b8.jpg

Moving on, I haven't found a Cable #1 APV yet - it seems reluctant to appear. #2 to 6 exist - see below - and #7 may not exist as few AUS April 1994 books do. It's also likely that no phase II books exist from US February 1996 onward based on current numbers:

Cable Blood & Metal #1 is often mistaken for "Cable #1":

But that's a different title.

The fact that group images like this one below exist, showing (the correct) #1 as a US copy and #2-6 as AUS copies, could indicate that #1 was missed / skipped?

Time will tell....

Morning :)

Two bits of X news today.

First up, X-Men #50. Not often you see an AUS price (AUS $4.90) on the back cover:

50.thumb.jpg.fea4c02980ea45aa8070ab50b062accd.jpg50backcover.thumb.jpg.dc985725324385bbc49d2ebf18f9ab03.jpg

And a new annual title - X-Force #2 from, you guessed it, 1993. Usual price too:

Shame the barcode is obscured, but another copy will materialise at some point I'm sure...

Morning :)

I added an image of X-Factor #124 to the files this morning, along with a host of image upgrades across a number of titles:

124.thumb.jpg.3c2af39d3cbca78899ffc9423b004cc8.jpg

The second wave dates are now full for that title and the only first wave book missing is #98:

xf98.PNG.5dadc0da7a4c84c03e431519c71e53fa.PNG

X-Factor number 98 would be cover dated AUS April 1994 however, and we know that only 3 titles have been found to have AUS copies for that month. I've seen about ten copies on eBay Australia, and all have been Direct Editions (one, if I recall correctly, was in amongst AUS copies which paints a picture).

So X-Factor may now be complete and only time will tell if 49 or 50 is the most AUS copies we'll ever find.

Of the 99 confirmed titles found with AUS copies so far, 48 cross the AUS April 1994 date. Maybe (AUS) March 1994 was supposed to be the official hiatus date, and the three titles with April copies snuck in under the radar somehow?

This post is for @revat who is a big Darkhawk fan and has mentioned that he would like to see an AUS copy of that title. So far, we haven't seen one.

Darkhawk ran for 50 issues from (US) March 1991 to April 1995. This means that Darkhawks could only exist in the first wave of AUS books and, given the three month date delay, #1 would be dated AUS June 1991 if it existed. A total of 35 Darkhawk issues could exist as AUS copies on this basis, with #35 being dated AUS April 1994. The remaining copies would fall in the gap between waves, and not reach the second wave.

We know that 'newsstand' copies with barcodes but no Curtis Circulation 'CC's do not appear to have AUS variants. This example of Dr Strange shows what I mean:

23.thumb.jpg.cc9a01ed716ff72c8ca4fb457d163fc7.jpg

Note that it has the 'newsstand' barcode but no 'CC' in the price / date box as you would expect. In every case that I find this scenario (newsstand barcode / no CC), no AUS variants have been found for that title.

If we look at a newsstand Darkhawk we see that the newsstand copy has the 'CC' and is therefore 'eligible' to have an AUS copy:

13.thumb.jpg.3bdba972391e684d1722c1b533fec625.jpg

And yet not one of the 35 possible candidates has materialised in my search so far. That doesn't mean that one won't of course - a few of the 99 confirmed titles have one or just a few confirmed copies. But it's highly unlikely that one would not have shown up at this stage.

So, alas, it looks like Revat will never get his wish. A huge number of titles, many 'high profile', have yet to yield an AUS copy though, so he's in good company.

All good fun :)
