According to our contributing insider Daniel Richtman, Rosario Dawson's Ahsoka Tano contract is reportedly a multi-show deal. For reference, this is a unique type of contract seen most often with MCU actors and actresses who have signed onto other film and show properties in the past. This is not a confirmation that Rosario Dawson's Ahsoka Tano will indeed appear in other Disney+ shows, rather, that Lucasfilm is potentially interested in having her character make future appearances in other shows, thus including this clause in the contract.

 

If Rosario Dawson's Ashoka Tano does end up appearing in not only The Mandalorian and her rumored solo series but also other Disney+ shows, it would speak to the investment Lucasfilm is making in both their live-action series and in the character of Ahsoka as well. For reference, think of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which strategically placed characters across multiple films. Some were in supporting roles, and others were just cameos. But the end goal was to create a connected universe, and now that it has been established, the payoff has been immense. Could Lucasfilm be hoping to achieve the same with their Disney+ series?

Star Wars: The Mandalorian Documentary Series Coming to Disney+

For fans eager to see more Star Wars: The Mandalorian, the wait is almost over. The immensely popular series isn't returning until later this year, but there is a new "making of" documentary on the way, taking folks behind the scenes of The Mandalorian. On Wednesday, Disney announced a new series called Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian, which will premiere on the Disney+ streaming service on May 4th, otherwise known as Star Wars Day.

 

The new eight-episode documentary series follows executive producer Jon Favreau as he invites the cast and crew of The Mandalorian to share a look at what went into the making of the groundbreaking program. Each episode of Disney Gallery will pull back the curtain on a different aspect of The Mandalorian, showing everyone how the first live-action Star Wars series came to life. There will even be never-before-seen footage and roundtables with the creative team.

 

“Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian is an opportunity for fans of the show to take a look inside and get to see a different perspective, and perhaps a greater understanding, of how The Mandalorian came together and some of the incredibly talented contributors throughout Season 1,” said Favreau. “We had a great experience making the show and we’re looking forward to sharing it with you.”

 

The first episode of Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian arrives on Monday, May 4th, alongside the series finale of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Going forward, there will be a new episode of Disney Gallery released every Friday, diving deeper into the production of the already classic series.

 

According to a press release from Disney and Lucasfilm, topics covered in the first season of Disney Gallery include "the filmmaking process, the legacy of George Lucas' Star Wars, how the cast brought the characters to life, the series' groundbreaking technology, the artistry behind the show's practical models, effects, and creatures, plus the creative influences, the iconic score, and connections to Star Wars characters and props from across the galaxy."

Fans have been hoping for a return from Boba Fett since his seeming demise in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, with ComicBook.com able to independently confirm that the figure is set to appear in the second season of The Mandalorian. The bounty hunter was originally played by Jeremy Bulloch in his debut live-action appearances, with Star Wars: Attack of the Clones seeing Temuera Morrison playing his father Jango Fett and introducing the notion that Boba was a clone of his father. Since the reveal that the first live-action Star Wars series would focus on a Mandalorian, fans have wondered if we could see Boba Fett return to the series. While the series was peppered with a number of familiar-looking armor-clad warriors, we never got to see the character definitively appear. The ending of the episode "The Gunslinger" concluded with a moment in which a caped figure walked towards Ming-Na Wen's Fennec Shand, whose walk was accompanied by the signature sound of spurs rattling, a trait of Boba Fett. However, there was never a follow-up later in the season to confirm the identity of this figure.

 

The first appearance of Boba Fett came in an animated sequence in The Star Wars Holiday Special while Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back saw his live-action debut. Being able to track down the Millennium Falcon and capture Han Solo made him a compelling enough figure, enhanced by his formidable armor. Despite the intense impression he left on audiences, he was somewhat clumsily vanquished in Return of the Jedi when his jetpack accidentally propelled him into the Great Pit of Carkoon where he was seemingly eaten by the sarlacc.

 

In a series of Legends stories, the figure managed to emerge from the pit and continue to explore the galaxy, with those stories being rendered non-canonical when Disney purchased Lucasfilm in 2012. Following that purchase, filmmaker Josh Trank was announced to be developing a spinoff Boba Fett project but those plans ultimately dissolved. Back in 2018, Logan director James Mangold was rumored to be directing a Boba Fett film, another project which was never confirmed and never moved forward.

I wanna see Old Man Rex

They can do both.  I thought the CGI on Jackson was seamless.  I like the result of that 10x better than the entirely-CGI renderings of actors.  Both CGI Carrie Fisher and CGI Peter Cushing in Rogue One were noticeably fake, but I could barely tell with Jackson in Captain Marvel.
