What would you rather get? AF 15 or Hulk 1?

While scarcity is important scarcer doesn't mean more valuable. Hulk 1 has not touched af15 values since 1962. Spiderman is far more of a global icon than hulk. Af15 if you can only get one but you definitely would want both if possible.

I don't have my GPA active at the moment and correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I remember this is true up to a point, but Hulk 1 surpasses AF 15 when you get into the higher grades.

That being said, I agree with your post and I too would go for the AF 15!

AF15

Spider-Man is along the same level as Superman and Batman as far as character significance and popularity.

If you removed yourself from the hobby and told someone on the street that "I own the first appearance of _____" I'm sure the reaction would be:

Spider-Man - COOL

Hulk - cool

If that makes any sense. :D

Hulk 1 8.5 $55000.00

GPA isnot current after a couple of years when looking at fast moving or hot books.

Hulk #1 9.2 sold for $375K (Northland - it's on GPA to you might have missed this one)

Hulk #1 9.0 Comiclink sold a copy for $275K this past summer - not on GPA

Hulk #1 8.5 just sold for $132K on ComicConnect two weeks ago - still not on GPA

Hulk #1 is generally tougher above Fine but once you get above VF/VF+ Hulk #1 gets extremely tough and I think would give AF #15 a run for it's money.

For example the Hulk #1 9.2 Northland went for $375K this summer and an AF #15 CGC 9.4 went for $450K

There's only on Hulk #1 in 9.4 and 3 (I think) AF #15 in 9.6, hence the prices.

The Hulk #1 in 9.4 could be a million dollar book. Nobody knows.

lol I'm just quoting off GPA as they are the only data that I am current on but excellent that people keep track of non GPA reported sales - wish all the data was readily available.
