Thought I would share this with the group, the results of a local auction house in the US that put up for auction an amazing GA collection, including some super sweet Planets.

 

I discovered this about two months after the auction ended, I still get nauseous thinking about the sweet deal I missed on this one. Scroll through the auction, it will probably make you feel sick too, unless of course you were the buyer of these books.

Wow, so some of those Planets are worth over $100 each...who would have thought that? :eyeroll:

I would have purchased a bunch of books at those prices. Must not have been that many bidders.

 

Too bad. All the books were from the same owner too (new pedigree?) Many of the books had her name written in pencil on the front cover, including some of the planets.

Great cover that I don't think I have ever noticed. So many cool Jumbo and Jungle covers that I sometimes just "glaze" over them.

 

I'm with you on that. They don't get as much attention as other FH titles maybe, but they include some of Fiction House's best covers - and Jumbos arguably have the best interiors.

I think my favorite Friction House title is probably Fight Comics overall but there are some great Jumbos and Jungles as well.

 

My favorite is Planet Comics ( obviously ) but I appreciate many others. There are great books in all the Fiction House titles.
