I really wish they'd done the Origins: Magneto movie as planned, because the "Magneto: Nazi Hunter" stuff was my favorite part of First Class. Would have loved a movie of just that stuff.

Thomas, Dog & Rose enter the room and Thomas grabs Elizabeth, who is in the room, and tells her that he is taking her with him. Elizabeth, tellingly, doesn't seem to mind the idea, but insists that he release Rose. John enters the room and is attacked and then killed by Thomas. Dog threatens to kill James but is rescued by Rose. James rushes Thomas for killing his father and is then knocked back by Thomas' shotgun butt. Thomas quickly realizes though that he is bleeding profusely from stab wounds in his abdomen. He falls to the ground dead. James is then revealed to have sprouted claws from his hands and that they are covered in Thomas' blood.

Same with Wolverine Vol. 2 #10 with the love between Silver Fox and Logan, with Sabretooth killing her to spite his target victim to antagonize Wolverine.

At a seedy bar in Madripoor's lowtown, Logan spends time away from his regular friends in the area. As a fight breaks out in the bar, he thinks back to a time in the past, during his days living in Canada when Sabretooth raped and murdered his love Silverfox.

 

Taking the lifeless body of Silverfox into the bar that he and Sabretooth frequented, Logan is shocked to hear Sabretooth's admission to the crime, telling him that he doesn't play or accept no for an answer. When Logan's temper starts to flare up, the bartender tries to get Logan to forget about starting a fight over an Indian.

 

Furious over the death of Silverfox, Logan pounces on Sabretooth, attacking him with all his fury. Sabretooth however easily overpowers the younger Logan, and beats on him. A beating that Logan will realize years later was a lesson to teach Logan who was the stronger of the two. Logan recalls how the battle went those many years ago, when Sabretooth beat him into submission, smashing him through the wall of the bar and beating him with the broken pieces of wood until he passed out under a pile.

But maybe you are right. At least in your own mind.

The heartstring tugging "We're brothers Jimmy" moment never occurs in Origin #1-6, nor do the boys run off together to try and live happily ever after.

The bone claw foot stomp is taken nearly verbatim from Wolverine #79.

You're not completely right, as those story summarizes demonstrate. But nice try.

oh, ye of little faith.  Endgame made $2.75BB, DP won't make a 10th of that; it'll soar fly drop like a wounded duck past $250MM

Disney/Fox’s bird made another $11.1M in 55 markets for a total of $172.8M overseas and $233M global after three weekends. Japan bowed to $1.8M — this is the final market on the ashen X-Men entry.

That domestic box office thrashing due to excessive reviewer negativity compared to mixed movie-goer experiences killed this movie. Though drastically changing Act 3 didn't help.
