New TUSKEGEE AIRMEN signing op Lt. Col. ALEXANDER JEFFERSON
1 1

A new signing has potentially come to my attention---turns out this gentleman lives about an hour from where I am going to be in Detroit for the Great Lakes show in 2 weeks.  I'll update this further when I return from Dallas, as I hammer out the details.

I can provide books, or those of you who took part in last year's op can send in your books to crack and add sigs.

Here's who we have on deck!

Lt. Col. Alexander Jefferson was assigned to the 332rd "Red Tail" Fighter group at the Ramitelli Airfield near FoggiaItaly, flying the P-51 Mustang. Assigned to a fighter escort wing protecting bombing missions of the US 15th Air Force, his job was to attack key ground targets and guard the bombing mission against enemy Nazi Luftwaffe fighters.

During his 19th mission over Toulonsouthern Franceon August 12, 1944, while attacking a radar installation he was shot down.[3] Parachuting to safety and landing within a forest, he was immediately captured by Nazi ground troops. He was sent to prisoner of war camp Stalag Luft III in Poland, a specialist Luftwaffe-run camp for captured Allied Air Force personnel. During his period of internment, Jefferson comments that he was treated like any other Air Force officer by his German captors.[2] He was then moved to Stalag VII-A, just outside Dachau. After the Russian Army entered Poland, the prisoners were marched to Munich by the Germans, where they were freed by General George Patton's US Third Army.[2] Jefferson returned to the United States on board the Cunard liner RMS Queen Mary, arriving inNew York city in mid-1945:

He also authored a book 9407809699938174357332

Current update on this signing with Jefferson----looking to push this to mid-March.

Was hoping to get this done sooner, but Mr. Jefferson has other obligations.

This week I should be able to finalize what I have available from my own inventory and then provide pricing for those books as well as pricing for whatever books you guys want to send my way.  Going to look at some more RAW copies of Dreaming Eagles as well.

Would definitely be interested in this as well, Rich.

Only thing better than one CGC SS slabbed book signed by Tuskegee Airmen is TWO CGC SS slabbed books signed by Tuskegee Airmen.

Looking forward to seeing book options and pricing when available.

Still waiting on a date confirmation from Mr. Jefferson's daughter, but I still think it's going to be March.

I would have posted some books that I have available (most are already pre-graded Tuskegee books) but I'm gearing for ECCC this week.

Okay, here we go----

I have a small handful of pre-graded slabs that I can make available for this signing, they already have Airmen on them.

I'll try to post a complete list with pics tonight or tomorrow AM, and will price accordingly per book.  These represent the LAST of my personal inventory copies of graded Tuskegee Airmen books.  There's roughly 7 copies that I will make available.  Prices will range from $350 to $575 on these, as they already have two to three airmen.

These prices are indicative of the cost of the existing slab, adding Mr. Jefferson and regrading.

For now I have the following (unlimited count) of Third Eye Comics variant cover , all are incredible raw 9.8 candidates for the signing

DREAMING EAGLES #2 s/s Alexander Jefferson - $195

Here's what I have available aside from raw cps of DE #2 third eye variants--

-these prices are all inclusive of the book itself described below, along with additional JEFFERSON signature fees, grading, shipping, etc.

images to follow **(ALL labels say "of the Tuskegee Airmen")

Keep in mind as you consider this op....albeit pricing is a bit of a premium---a couple things.  The HOAKNES variant had a print run of just 100 cps.

This will most likely be the last Tuskegee signing, at least for the foreseeable future, and most definitely with these offered books. These are the last signed copies that I have with Stewart & Brown, and with most of these WWII Heroes all being closer to 100 than 90 yrs of age, it's become increasingly difficult to execute these events.   Mr. Brown sadly passed shortly after our initial signing, so I encourage anyone who ordered a previously signed Brown book from last year to mail it in for this event.

Dreaming Eagles #1 CGC 9.6 (standard cover) s/s Lt. Col. Harry Stewart, Capt. Roscoe Brown, Garth Ennis, Steve Dillon & Francesco Francavilla - $495

(adding Jefferson)   **(Dillion was accidental on this, but it's a chance to own one of the last Dillion s/s books)

Dreaming Eagles #1 CGC 9.8 s/s (standard cover) Garth Ennis & Fransisco Francavilla - $225 (TWO copies available)

Dreaming Eagles #1 CGC 9.6 s/s (standard cover) Col. Charles McGee - $275 (Adding Jefferson)

Dreaming Eagles #1 CGC 9.2 s/s (Hoaknes variant) Lt. Col. Harry Stewart, Capt. Roscoe Brown & Col. Charles McGee - $295 (adding Jefferson)

Dreaming Eagles #1 CGC 9.6 s/s (Hoaknes variant) s/s Lt. Col. Harry Stewart & Capt. Roscoe Brown - $395  (adding Jefferson)

Dreaming Eagles #1 CGC 9.8 s/s (Hoaknes variant) Lt. Col. Harry Stewart & Capt. Roscoe Brown - $550 (adding Jefferson)

Dreaming Eagles #2 CGC 9.8 s/s (Third Eye variant) Lt. Col. Harry Stewart & Capt. Roscoe Brown - $425 (adding Jefferson)

Dreaming Eagles #3 CGC 9.8 s/s (standard cover) Lt. Col. Harry Stewart & Capt. Roscoe Brown - $395 (adding Jefferson) **TWO CPS AVAILABLE**
