Deadline is reporting that comedian Steve Agee has joined the cast of Warner Bros.' upcoming DC Films sequel The Suicide Squad as the voice of King Shark. No word yet on who will portray the villain physically or if he'll be a completely CGI creation.

The move will reunite the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and New Girl actor with his former Guardians director James Gunn, who has been enlisted to write and direct the sequel/soft reboot.

WTH?! :whatthe::insane:

This doesn't seem so out-of-bounds.

He was in Green Lantern.

And he voiced Korg (his rock monster buddy) in Ragnarok, Endgame, etc.

He's a fairly obvious choice if he's simply voicing a character that's otherwise animated/CGI'd.

Or is it surprising given his continued Disney work with Thor?

The latter. He is going to be deep into writing Thor Love and Thunder so then he can ramp up pre-production so everything heads toward that 11/5/21 release date.

I know he can act and do voice work. That's not the surprise. Even going back to What We Do In The Shadows he was incredible.
