Okay I’m probably missing something obvious but does anyone here have a link to the pence variants for Fantastic Four in the census if so that would be much appreciated thank you

I don't think there is a separate cenus page for UKPVs.  You find the census for the issue, and UKPV pop data will appear right below, bottom half of page.   For example,

I do, thanks Gary. I've updated the list - 3,023 confirmed copies now :)

Just to underline how comparatively scarce this copy is, two recent UK sellers eBay lots:

In this one, the seller has #163, 165 and 166 in pence with #167 as cents:

And this chap has all the final pence copies minus #167:

Some of these later / final 20p copies could turn out to be some of the hardest variants to find.

(you’re not going to call this a nice one, I think it’s the worst complete condition comic in my collection)

and #120 because I like the cover, it has childhood memories as I bought the Alan Class version, and it was next to #115 in my charity sale box;

Indeed. It's the type of issue that would be found unboarded in the cheap bin at the fair, all spine creased and with a £1.50 sticker on a yellowing bag. I'm not sure how many Sgt Fury completists there are out there, if any, or how many collectors might be trying for the full Marvel UKPV set, but it's quite funny to think that books like that, and the two Marvel Super Heroes 20p copies posted earlier, might be their toughest finds.

It's one aspect of the hobby that I'm personally enjoying at the moment Gary - tracking down the obscure books, of which there may be only a handful of surviving copies, but for which no one - happily - gives a care.

They're nice. My old #115 had a massive triangular price stamp on it as I recall. Long gone now, alas.

Me! I did have the goal of collecting them all at under 50p each and I did get around 130 at that limit from #6 up including #13 and annual #1. I had to breach that limit though to get 1-5 and ironically some of the later non-distributed issues including #167 which, like the seller above is a cents in my collection although the few preceding issues are pence.

Non distributed no longer! :grin:

And when you say you was a completist, did you go for all variants Gary? None of that plastic-completist 1-167 issue run nonsense - the full variant / insert bifta (or 'bifter' if you include the variant)?

My definition of complete is one of every issue rather than one of every variation of every issue. So I have 1-167 and annual 1-7, some are cents and some are pence but it’s one or the other not both (#167 now being the exception).

Same with all my other titles, cents or pence but not both. I suppose I have a few exceptions where I have regular copy plus a double cover, or 30/35 variant but not too many examples.

I call that a run collector Gary. A completist has to have everything. Essentially, a nutter.

Pretty good achievement getting the majority of the Sgt Fury run for under 50p though.
