EC Phanatic
Detached cover I have a book I want to get graded that has a detached cover . Is there anything I can do to get the cover attached without being restored.
Chadwick
Nope and unless it has more damage it would max at 3.
rjpb
Technically, using non-archival tape on the inside of the cover to secure the staples after they are pushed back through will get a blue label from CGC, and not count as restoration. It may also up the grade. It probably shouldn't be that way, but it is. If I recall, books that are really pretty otherwise can get a 4.0 with a detached cover, or an even higher qualified grade. PhilipB2k17
I am eying an otherwise nice looking early 40's Golden Age superhero book that is not from Timely or National. It looks like it is intact except for spine separation for some of the interior from the cover. What would be the max grade on this book?
