1 ACE BOOK and 2 FOX books for sale. LIghtning and Wonderworld.,

I'm going to list 3 books today.  These are  from the "Evelyn collection", they are books I bought from her about 11 years ago most of those are low grade, but scarce.

The first person to post a either here or in a PM wins.

Shipping is by priority mail. I try to pack well and have a non smoking home

Shipping in the US is included for these books. I pay for private insurance, these do have to go signature required.

 

 Out of the US, figure exact shipping minus $10, but I can only send books with a signature or my insurance will not cover it.

I accept Paypal, Checks and MO's.

 

Returns for any reason but you must let me know within 7 days and you must return the book (so I have it in hand) within 10 days. If you change your mind, then you pay the return shipping, if I've made an error, I'll pay for it.

First Book.

Lightning Volume #4, this is the first book in the title. Published in 1940 by Ace. It's not easy to find of course. A 1.0 was sold in April 2016 for $583. I have no idea what that issue looked like, not the page quality. This book is complete with some tape and  amateur resto. It's been trimmed at the top for sure, and I suspect at the open right edge.  There is tape inside, the cover was split and taped and there is a little color added on the upper right.  

It's supple with nice pages and the Bin is $450  SOLD

Wonderworld #14

This is a great cover, the upper left corner has been artistically enhanced. The owner colored the first wrap where the piece was missing blue. He got a little of the edge of the cover paper as well. I'm not sure if the cover has ink on the 10 , my guess is yes, it feels a little rough. 

I also don't know if you remove that corner of the cover if the ink on the underneath wraps count as resto. I don't think so, but I'm no expert.

Pages are nice, cover is detached. I don't see any tape. IT's a sexy bondage cover.  My asking price is $450.

Wonderworld 27

It's scarce, I don't see color tough, but the spine is split and there are 2 pieces of tape at the bottom holding the cover on. There is moisture damage, but the pages are fine, so is the cover. It's old for sure.

Here is the last book for tonight and it's a great one:) Mystery Men #2. I saw one of the descriptions said it was one of the two top Robot covers of all time.  Lou Fine is the artist.

When I bought this book years ago, I bought it sight unseen, so I wasn't aware of the artistic enhancement lower left. This is another book from the Evelyn collection and her husband was a very good artist.

The book has brilliant colors, it's very glossy, almost too glossy, but I think if someone enhanced it, they would have added the gloss to the piece that was added lower left. I don't see any ripples, nor is it tacky or stiff, so maybe it's just very glossy.

The pages are supple as is the cover. There is tape inside the cover, but the staple seem to be holding. You can see where the tape is on the back cover, it looks like someone took some white tempera (water based) paint and painted over the places where the tape might have shown. There is some non color breaking creasing.  I think I'd grade it an apparent VG+ (4.5) , but apparent or not, it's got a really solid feel. I saw the latest sale was an incomplete copy sold on Heritagerecently for $593, I'm going to ask $565 for this copy.
