I can see why they are throwing McFarlane's name on these books but pulling random interior art and giving them a computerized makeover makes for an awful cover. The Tyler Kirkham cover looks much cooler.

This was from the back of the Spider-Man Vs Venom TPB. Marvel figured out, "Hey, we can use Mcfarlane's old art to sell more spider-man stuff since we own the reproduction rights"

The chin isn't great, but its the brows that get me and why black? WHY?  Was that ever a thing, to dye your eyebrows?   The venom art is classic tho   So much love and hate all at once.

Just a side note but if Marvel is going to do this (and they have with Ditko, Lee, and McFarlane), I sure as heck hope ACTION COMICS #1000 does a better job with the same premise since ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN #600 and SUPERMAN #400 managed to get cover-worthy pin-ups from almost everybody.
