Advice please. The comic moves within the inner well

Hi. I bought a CGC slab off Ebay. Somehow, there are a lot of marks inside the slab. It looks to be on the thin inner protective plastic as opposed to the thicker outer plastic. Any ideas how that might happen at all?

Also, the comic moves pretty freely up and down within the inner well. It's a good 3-4mm of movement. The comic  could potentially still get damaged within the slab. It's a Spawn #1 9.6, so it won't really be financially viable to sent it off and pay for a reslab as it's not an expensive book. Is the movement enough for CGC to offer a reslab at all?

To clarify, this isn't the latest model slab, and not the one before with no inner well. It's possibly the one before that.

Any advice would be great please :)

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the boards!

Many to most of the time comics can move around inside the inner well a very small amount.  Damage can occur from this  - it even has a name - shaken comic syndrome.  Just don't shake it or throw it around and the book will be fine.  Books can also get scrunched up if the inner holder ends up being to snug.

There is a little scuffing but without the book in hand it's impossible to say if it is the comic itself, the inner holder or the outer.

I doubt CGC would see any reason to reholder it at no charge. But you could always call and ask.
