First DC Lucifer appearance was in the silver age?

I have yet to read the Gaiman Lucifer run, but I did stumble across this from 1962. Is Gaiman's Lucifer considered to be the one and only, is this in continuity? Thoughts?

I would've thought that the name would've been used quite a number of times in unrelated short stories in DC's horror / mystery titles, back to the early 1950s?

Any examples?

No, just considering that as a possibility, given it's a fairly obvious reference.

It sort of is, Golden age isnt 1949 really, but Satan first appeared in DC comics in Kid Eternity 15, the one with the awesome skull cover. All of it is sorta odd regardless, the Lucifer we see on TV i think is Sandman 3 or 4.
