not for me it hasn't...but the book is all over the map price wise...

Why do you think that is? When was the last time this book saw a increase over all grades?

HG, book is still down from its 2011/12 highs...

lower grade book has had moderate increases

Why would OAAW 83 rate so highly on this list? The top copy is only a 9.0, so how can it be compared to the other keys that exist in, and have sold in the higher grades?  In other words, it will never be as expensive to buy even the best OAAW 83 compared to the rest of the keys.

 

are you just comparing 9.0 prices for each book? Seems like an arbitrary comparison to make.

Maybe. Problem is that Xmen 1 is fairly common in hg relative to other sa keys and more and more hg copies seem to be surfacing, which appears to be satisfying demand, so there really hasn't been any upward pricing pressure of late

That's the only one I balked at in your list. Seems to me that JIM #83 and TOS#39 are both higher than XM #1.

 Could be , I just picked a couple of random grades and looked at data points and Xmen one was barely ahead of the other two

across all grades they're all very comparable

Just because the top graded copy is a 9.0 does not by any means signify that there are zero copies that would grade higher. DC war collectors are a lot like PCH collectors in that they were around before CGC and see no current reason to submit them.

I didn't even consider hg. I compared to 2.5,4.0 and 6.0. Ooaw has sold higher than 11 on in all 3 grades for me

There should be a low/entry level 1.0-3.0 top list as well.  At first glance I feel it would be different than the NM.

Off the top of my head I'd say:

1. AF15

2. SC4

3.Hulk1

4. ASM1

5. TOS39

6. JIM83

7. FF1

8. BB28

9. X-men 1

10. Aven1

I'll look at overstreet's 2.0 grade to see if it's the same rank as their 20.

Here's the top 20 SA in low grade (2.0)

The list is similar, but at entry level books containing 1st appearances are more valuable than the other top 20 keys.  That is unless the 1st appearance is priced out of reach. In those cases (asm1 and sc8) the 2nd appearance is ranked higher in the low grade top 20. I think it makes sense.

I would love to upgrade my 4.0 OAAW to a 6 but never see them for sale.  I see all the others listed below it all the time.
