Vampirella #1 with interior signature

Hi all,

I don't venture into the signature area, but I recently acquired a nice condition Vampirella #1 that has a signature in the interior that I am wondering about.

Has anyone seen a Frazetta signature like this on a comic before? All the ones I see are on the covers. The signatures I have seen or can find on the internet are also all horizontal to the book, this signature on my Vampirella #1 is vertical. Where it is there isn't much room for a signature so I can see why it is the way it is.

Anyone know if Frazetta took signature requests for placement? Did he ever sign inside comics?

Thanks all, I am tying to determine if it is possibly real.

It looks real to me.

Most signatures in the modern era are collected on covers, but in the 60's-80's, it seemed more common for creators to sign the 1st page instead of the cover as it was less obtrusive.  I'm no professional, but I'd say that's a genuine Frazetta signature from either the 70's or the 80's.  Very nice!

I've seen an interior Frazetta signature on a comic book, and it looks like the one you have. Congrats!

Thanks, I appreciate the feedback.
