The fact that Disney pulled Marvel out of SDCC and now runs their own show is impressive. If you haven't been to the Anaheim CC it's an impressive place and possibly holds more people than SDCC.

We sure have come a long way since getting bullied and beat up for being comic nerds.

 

I attended an American Society for Microbiology meeting in Anaheim many years ago.  It is a fairly large meeting that was held at the convention center which is literally across the street from Disneyland, I think.  I have only seen the San Diego convention center from the harbor.  It seemed pretty large too.

edit:  OK, that might have been an Interscience Conference of Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy (aka ICAAC) but the meeting is a large one that only a select group of cities has sufficient facilities.  I walked to Disneyland from the convention center but I think the entrance was on the other side of the park.
