As I recall, you can find "Real Life Comics" and "Real Life Picture Magazine", with the latter being very scarce.

Also not sire if it was mentioned in addition to the 15 cent DC versions.    Not sure if mentioned in addition to the 15 cent labels a lot of the early 1940s  DC books will have more then one distribution label.    On the same book you may find one that has for sale in the US and one that has for sale in US/Canada.  The book will still have the 10 cent label.

There was also what appeared to be a weird era in Canada.  where for a short period of time they printed some of the DC comic books without advertisements.

Discovered this one a bit ago.  The small "comics" is my low grade copy, the big "comics" is borrowed from the GCD.  The small "comics" seems to be rarer but still a pretty good percentage of the population.  (A check of heritage showed 16 copies, 13 big logo and 3 small.  I didn't check for the same book selling multiple times, though.)

Edit:  Guess I already mentioned this back when I found it, but figure adding the images still makes it worthwhile.  Sorry about the redundancy.

Most people know the mighty midget books.    In addition to these a limited number of miniatures can glues to the comic book.    Most copies have been separated from the book.     Unlike the mighty midget editions these are rare and have color back covers.   They are usually ripped in the back where they where glued

Here are some pics of the action comics 62 bloody cover.    After about 10 years of looking just got today.  Also posted my regular one for comparison.  I wish I gound a better copy but I was going to fight for any one I could find.

There's also a whole slew of subscription variants of WDC&S in the 40s and 50s.  The earlier ones have distinct back cover art to make room for the subscribers address (printed not a label).  The later ones have a distinct (and ugly) box on the front cover for the subscribers address.  Sometimes the back cover art differences are interesting. 

I think they are worth noting because high grade subscription variants are very hard to find (and perhaps therefore desirable) due to the prevalence of subscription creasing.

The Star Pub has different colors. It also says Star Publications on the upper left. The Star (original) came out in 1950 I believe. The accepted supposedly came out  a few years later. I've seen friends buy both Popular Teen-Agers 5 and 6 and get upset when they found out it was not original. I wanna say it is almost like ASM 1 vs GRR ASM1..Sorry for my rant. I don't want to go too off topic.

So some of this was brought up in the Marvel Comics #1 thread but I'm hoping to get some decent participation of known books that fit here without any of the debate (unless strong evidence is provided) as to what is a first or second print, etc. 

The purpose is to get some kind of decent listings of GA variants for reference reasons. I've already broken the rules by including a couple of Marvels from 1962 so feel free to list some post code books to if you feel they fit. Superman 1 (there was a variant of Superman 1 that contained an ad on last page stating "Action Comics 14 on sale now" versus a copy with ad stating "Action Comics 14 on sale June 2nd")

Superman 14 Work Book (some consider this workbook to be a variant of Superman 14 because it contains the same stories as Superman 14, along with puzzles and problems)

Superman 28 overseas edition:  Not pictured below, but Jerome Wenker told me a friend of this actually has this in hand

Action Comics 32 (two versions:  one version has 15 cents in Canada below 10 cent cover price, other is blank below 10 cent cover price) 

Action 223 (two versions:  one version has 223 on the cover and the error variant has 233 on cover).   Error variant is extremely hard to find.
