This is a signed and numbered lithograph by Bill Watterson, sent to newspapers by Watterson and Universal Syndicate as a thank you to newspapers that carried the comic strip when the artist went on sabbatical in 1992.  

This lithograph is in excellent condition and was professionally matted and framed. 

These lithographs are extremely rare. Only 1,000 were signed,This one is numbered 473/1000. and many probably ended up pinned to a bulletin board in a newsroom or stashed away in a file cabinet. 

This includes the signed lithograph  and the frame.. It does not include the original shipping tube nor the letter from Universal Press Syndicate.

Frame measures approximately 22-1/2" by 17-1/2".

There is clearly a lot of love for Calvin & Hobbes. Not as much love for lithographs among this crowd, though. You are on an original art board, after all.
