PGM Showcase #22

Hey Guys!

I picked up a copy of showcase #22 and I wanted to get your thoughts on what the grade might come back as. I had the book signed by Joe Giella at Heroes Con and it is currently at CGC getting graded as a SS book. Here are the only pictures I have of it. These were from the seller and they are not the best. I wish I would have taken some scans of the book before I sent it in but I was on a tight time schedule to get it to the facilitator! Something to note is that the centerfold is detached at both staples. The cover and all other pages are still attached securely. Also I had the book pressed after these pictures were taken :)

Thanks! I will post the grades ASAP after it comes back :)

Presents nice but lots of cumulative flaws. No chunks missing, no chipping, no writing but some of those creases are very long. Not sure how the press will help here as most is color breaking. I'd say 3.5/4.0 .

That is exactly what I was thinking. The detached centerfold is what gets me. I'm not exactly sure where a detached centerfold allows a book to max out on the CGC grading scale.  I know a higher grade book will get a green label and that a lower grade book will most likely just get a reduced grade with a blue label.

At this grade level, I don't think the detached centerfold will matter much. Just another flaw in the mix. However, it may be the deciding factor if the graders are thinking somewhere between two grades.
