Is he actually being portrayed as alive in 1984, or is it just some sort of flashback dealie they're working in?

Because, yes, pushing an 80ish year old Steve surviving a massive airborne explosion and still looking perfectly Chris Pine-y 6 1/2 decades later could prove detrimental to the overall product.  Disbelief can only be suspended so far.

I think that "flashbacks" were the original theory, but isn't he being portrayed in modern garb?

Idk. Just stirring up discussion.

And yet Patty Jenkins, who successfully rolled out the first movie wants to release the second - like right now. Maybe. Just maybe, she thought this one through.

There are rumors Pedro Pascal's character is messing with Diana.

Last 20 mins of Wonder Woman were trash, though. So disappointing.

She doesn't get a free pass for 2 hours of a good movie.

Didn't she direct The Dark World..?

Patty Jenkins and the MCU parted ways over creative differences with Thor 2. So no, she didn't.

As far as the last 20 minutes being trash, not really. I would have liked it differently (i.e. no scene with Chief hugging the German soldiers). But not trash.

Now, back to your 'Down with that Darkworld director' rally.

I never picked up on the director of Dark World was from Game of Thrones.

Patty Jenkins’ Idea for ‘Thor 2’ Was a Romeo-and-Juliet-Esque Space Opera

Quote

This was a big deal—Marvel was hiring a female filmmaker to spearhead one of its massively popular superhero movies, and this was still relatively early in the days of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Alas it wasn’t meant to be, as Jenkins parted ways with the project after only two months due to creative differences.

Marvel subsequently hired Alan Taylor (Game of Thrones) to helm Thor: The Dark World, and the result was a film that even Taylor admitted wasn’t up to snuff. In the years since we never really got much clarity on why Jenkins left, or what her idea for the sequel was, but recently Jenkins opened up a bit to Indiewire about her time on the project and why she knew she wasn’t the right person to direct.

“It was painful and sad because I really loved those guys and I loved the idea of us making a Thor together, but it’s one of those things. You have to make sure that the movie you want to make is fully the right movie for that studio too. It was heartbreaking, but I also knew that it was good… I knew that it was good because I didn’t think I could make a great film out of their -script.”

What, then, was Jenkins’ plan for the film? Reports at the time swirled that Natalie Portman—fresh off an Oscar win for Black Swan—pushed hard to bring Jenkins into the fold, and indeed Jenkins had a very different idea in mind: a “Romeo-and-Juliet-esque space opera that hinged on the separation of Thor and Jane Foster.” That’s certainly not the direction Marvel went in, instead opting to focus on a forgettable villain with murky motives while Jane is relegated to “damsel-in-distress” status.

Someone editing the Wonder Woman 1984 cast list to insert Sam Worthington as Hawkman and Alicia Vikander as Hawkgirl has led to some new excitement. But a long-time film blogger created a 'tinfoil hat edition' video to question this.

The Wikipedia tells me she played with Sabaton and Beyond the Black at Wacken Open Air.  Not really into either but still 🤘

She's the one that did the original Wonder Woman theme soundtrack for Batman v Superman and Wonder Woman (2017).
