Weather looks great.  My only chance may be Sunday, unfortunately...

But that's got me wondering - curious what you guys that are regularly set up at these shows think.  Past cons I've always tried to get there early on the first day, assuming that's when sellers have all the good stuff out and I can have the pick of the litter, as it were.  But as a buyer, is there any benefit to going to a con on Sunday?  Do you guys keep adding new, key comics over the weekend, and/or offer deeper discounts as it is winding down?

I like all aspects of the con, but am really only there to buy awesome comics.  Just always assumed that the pool to choose from by Sunday may be too picked over, but maybe that's not the case.

I've found good stuff on Friday, and I've found good stuff on Sunday. It depends on what you are looking for, and how lucky you happen to be in a given week. Last year I made my best collection purchases on Sunday of Planet, one off of a wall and one out of a box.

Also, a big thank-you to all the boardies whose booths my nephew and I stopped by.  You were not lying when you said you were bringing the Spawn!  My nephew is down to single digits now for a complete run (sans variants), and he also picked up a Malibu Sun #13 raw. I managed to pick up a nice copy of the C2E2 Star Wars Luke Skywalker black-and-white action figure variant  and original Star Wars #7 in high grade to go with the Alex Ross recreated version. There were a bunch of others too.

My nephew was jazzed to get Greg Capullo to sign his 12" and 6" NIP Gunslinger Spawn figures.  That was probably the highlight of the weekend for him.

I had a great time at the show this past weekend, it was maybe the most fun I have had at a show in the past couple of years. We had a stronger showing at the booth this year, with sales well above what we did last year. Friday was fairly slow, but Saturday and Sunday were fairly busy all day once they got rolling. We were in essentially the same booth we were in last year (same island but opposite corner), just about halfway through the room.

Off the top of my head we sold two copies of NM #98, Thor #337, TOD #10 CGC 4.5, JLA #1 in about Good, X-Men #266, Batman #357, FF #48 CGC 4.0, and several other wall books I can't remember because I am so tired from only getting about 4.5 hours of sleep last night. Sales from table stock were also solid.

I was trying not to buy much at the show, but there would have been plenty to tempt me if I had the funds. My main pickup was a Strange Tales #51 from @Dale Roberts that I couldn't say no to. I also picked up a lower grade JIM #14 dirt cheap because a few panels had been clipped out of the interior. The cover and centerfold are present and nice, so its a reasonable donor if I can find a coverless or other copy in need of parts I have.

I've been dragging all day but managed to fight my way through my two class lectures. Now I need to go home and try to stay awake until a decent hour and get caught up on sleep.
