I feel like I've been reading too many of these R.I.P. topics lately. Rest in peace, Mr. Sam Glanzman.

Sam Glanzman was probably best known for his work on "war" genre comics so a lot of comic fans that are only into super-hero titles may not be familiar with his work.

He was a talented artist.  My condolences to his family and friends.

I'm sad to hear this. A Sailor's Story was a personal favorite of mine and really brought home what my grandfathers' experience in the Navy must have been like.
