I started a thread on comic books during the Jim Crow era - racial segregation and how comic books reflected the Jim Crow era had interesting examples that were posted on the thread.

Mediocre, at least in my experience. 

Edited to add:  Just tried to find it and struck out.  I don't know whether the search engine goes back more than a year.
