One of my friends has a great one. A small scrap of paper that simply reads “Jim”. He has an old photo of him as a teenager with Jim Morrison signing it.

You just can’t buy stuff like that...

priceless !

This is a very interesting topic. Collecting usually isn’t a singular focus. I’m always interested to see what others are drawn towards since we all share a similar passion for funny books. Here’s mine. Not as cool as rock posters or vintage toys but it’s my thing.

Disneyland Park props and park used fixtures...36E76161-322E-4F53-ADE2-C5E3F044404C.thumb.jpeg.3ab39505dc2a8feae81398622a5a18d3.jpeg437AD8BE-4D7B-4119-8CF1-D473D0D1AA1F.thumb.jpeg.71ac78d32b87aacc3750717856891a5d.jpeg

Living in SO CA, I often run into Disneyland Park items. They are very popular here. My friend has a very large scale model of the 1950’s rocket from Tomorrowland in his den. One of his favorite pieces and when you see it, you know why.

that's just not fair!!  incredibly lucky dude !

Yes, the Good Lord has blessed me.

Best Hendrix show was a Earl Warren Showgrounds in Santa Barbara. Only about 2,000 stoned surfer kids. He played everything upside down and backwards. Just electrifying. He just left it on the floor. A lot of eyes were opened that night.

Another stand out. I was doing light shows at the Rose Palace in Pasadena and the Shrine in LA. One Friday afternoon we showed up to set up the lighting and I was in the pit right in front of the stage at the tiny Rose Palace. I had never heard of the band. It was their first US tour. They launched into their sound check and my jaw hit the floor. I asked my buddy and he said he thought the guitarist was from the Yardbirds but this current band was called Led Zeppelin.

I am lucky to have lived during the times I have!

Would your friend let you take a picture and show it on here? I’d love to see that.
