Round 6 Results are now posted. Congrats to Point Five for being perhaps the ONLY SINGLE DOUBLE BULLSEYE WINNER I can remember in Tournament History. (My memory is shot...   )

Hey, thanks for the kind words all. Wish I'd been here during the big reveal!

A bunch of people were asking about the crazy low grade on the ASM. There appears to be a faint color-breaking crease going through the green 'Return of the Punisher' box at the bottom. Curious how many folks caught that? It's so faint that I didn't catch it the first 3 or 4 times I looked at the book, even under the extreme closeup view. I was debating between an 8.5 and a 9.0 -- the only reason I waited to submit my grades -- and my jaw dropped open when I finally spotted the crease.

I saw that,lost it,looked hard and sure enough,it wasn't my imagination.I dropped it to a 7.0 though...

I went back and looked for this on the large scan and now knowing it is there still can't see it.  Thus I greatly overgraded this book...but I'll take my bulls on the Hulk and move on...up from the depths (112) to about mid-point...and climbing...I hope...

To be fair, I wasn't sure either that there was definitely a crease there. I've gone chasing phantom creases and dents many a time in these contests... the Star Wars book would be the most recent example. But since the final grade was 7.5, I would tend to think that's a confirmation.
