Rich's new (and old) slab sale from yellow to blue, bronze to modern and 10% all proceeds go to Hurricane Harvey relief

I had been debating reviving an existing sales thread over the last few weeks, but time just got away from me.

There's a lot going on with me on my end, slowing me down in regards to scanning slabs.

Then Hurricane Harvey hit.  Personally, I have a lot of friends and customers in the surrounding areas that were hit, as well as in the Texas area in general.

I've been in touch with a number of them, everyone is doing the best they can under the circumstances.

At any rate, rather than revive an old thread, I thought it prudent to start a new one.

I've researched various relief efforts, and I'll be giving 10% of all proceeds from both this thread and my Sept. pre-sales thread over in the signature room, to both the Houston Food Bank and JJ Watt's Harvey relief effort.

The rules are pretty basic---no probies or HOS, shipping is included within the U.S., but overseas and Canada I have to charge you exact weight for shipping Priority.

Return policy---unless the item arrives broken or damaged, I don't generally do returns.  If there's an issue with the item, please contact me within 5 days of receipt.

All items pictured are what you're getting, unless I have duplicates (like five cps of Redneck), I won't be scanning all five, just take it for granted that I have 5 cps of the book shown and there's no difference book to book other than the CGC serial #

That's about it----since I have over 10,000+ CGC s/s slabs in hand, if there's a preference of character or creator, LMK.

Let's roll.

Okay----so the first thing that I would like to do is point a click URL click over to my earlier sales thread that I began when I got back from SDCC.

There's something like 17 pages of material in there, lots to look at, and I'll apply those books to this thread.  I may pull and re-post a few books that I think are worth mentioning but other than that, feel free to pick and choose books from that thread as well, and 10% of that purchase will also go toward Harvey relief (my wife is also telling me to look into Diaper Banks too, not just Food and clothes banks.)  And JJ Watts relief fund is generating a lot of money (thumbsu

Hitting the ground running with some books from my single favorite Houston resident, Terry Moore.

I reached out to Terry yesterday, he and Robin are okay.  I'm doing a follow up tonight.

Terry's work on Strangers in Paradise spurred me to relook at the indy scene again in the mid-90s.  I first heard of his book/work during an episode of the Anti-Gravity Room on Sci-Fi Channel.  I picked up the title, currently I think at the time, was at issue #10 or #11, I think.

I was in my late 20s at the time, and his work inspired me to write my first fan letter since I was 15.

I commissioned Terry to do this for me years ago, I've tossed it out there once every few years---it's a keeper.  I can't remember what I put on it last time I showed it off, so I don't know if I'm on point, way off, or otherwise.  Was doing a series of theme sketches, this one was Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy.

Back to Texas----

For as much as I loved Strangers in Paradise, Terry's work on Rachel Rising was bar none, one of the best books I've read in the last few years.

I still swoon over Jason Aaron's SCALPED as where the bar is set, but Rachel Rising not only showed how versatile a story teller Terry is, but good God--compelling, the artwork again---outstanding.  Terry's line and the ease in which he moves that pen, flawlessly depicting emotion within his characters....just do yourself a favor.

If you haven't read this body of work, there's a collected edition TPB much like the Walking Dead bibles that you should grab.  You won't be sorry.    A buddy of mine asked me once what do I have in my "collection."  I kept trying to tell him it's "inventory" not a collection.

There's very little I would call "collection" but there are certain books that I did for myself.  This was certainly one of them.
