My Silver Age Collection: How to Start?

I bought a read comics throughout my youth. Love them and have saved a lot of them. They are all raw. Neatly placed in a plastic bin where they have remained undisturbed for many many years. I know I have a number of valuable issues here. Need to know were to start.

My most prized possession is an Amazing Spider-man #1. See pix.  Bought it used for $0.03 when I was about 12 (1965 ). I started a yearly subscription to Spidey at #12. Did it for one year. Was a member of the MMMS - though my membership stuff is long gone - sadly. Only a few are currently bagged.  IMG_0046.thumb.JPG.a570bc1492ac8aaeb8038a65a0b4e3b4.JPG

How is the best method to get my AS#1 submitted.  Thought about doing it for years really, but too nervous to pack it up and mail it. Have many others. So similar questions arise.  I have 150 -200 total. Many #1s like: Iron Man, Sub-Mariner, Silver Surfer, Hero For Hire, Dr. Strange.  Many early issues of Tales To Astonish, FF, Daredevil.

Was always unsure of what to do with my "collection".  Last comic I actually bought was Amazing Spider-man #100.  Now that I'm retired, I figured I should have inventory and put the collection on a spreadsheet. The question is: then what?

Any advice would be appreciated.
