That's a good one!  It might be interesting to see what the most "unlikely" CGC 10s are... that is, the books with the most submissions and the fewest CGC 10s by percentage. hm

That would be New Mutants #98.

Then Wolverine #1 Ltd.

Piece of cake.

You almost got the top two, but the Wolverine #1 is the regular series.  Wolverine #1 Limited is fourth.

Here's the Top 10 for CGC 10 (fewest CGC 10 vs. total CGC submissions):

New Mutants 98

Wolverine 1 (1988)

Web of Spider-Man 1

Wolverine Limited Series 1 (1982)

Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars 8

Amazing Spider-Man 316

Amazing Spider-Man 363

Rai 0

Deadpool 1 (1993)

Batman: The Dark Knight Returns 3

Close enough. ;)

I got #1.

Web #1 is surprising, though, but that's no doubt because Wolvie #1 Ltd has 3 10s, instead of 1.

Hi Konrad. I've yet to post on these boards, but am excited to in response to your inquiry. I have submitted close to 200 comics for grading since around 2015 and just now in one hit have a 9.9 and 10.0 on the way. I'll post photos next week when they arrive. :) First of each ever and there were several I was hopeful for 9.9 - but always end up 9.8.

Grading standards for magazines are not the same as for standard comic books.

I'm curious how those that believe in some 'conspiracy' think this works.  Like, thousands of books that are really 10.0s come thru CGC and they get 9.8 9.8 9.8 then magically the grader goes ok, time for a 10.0! and just picks some book and random and anoints it with the grade.  Or maybe it's some kind of dart board system.  Multiple graders have to be on board with this 'conspiracy' too....
